Team Preview- SJ Miltia / Exit 3 - Class D
Does not being preseason ranked in the state, not mentioned with the likes of Santino's, ACS, Guttermaster, Gashouse, or lacking a "named" player according to coach Jason Seeberger effect a teams morale? Absolutely Not for this 2012 D Class SJ Militia / Exit 3 team. This young fierce crew feel they are athletic and skilled enough with just the right amount of Vets to compete with anyone. SJ Militia is a team built on athleticism, speed and have an avg age of approximately 26 yrs old. They are a bunch of good friends that consistently play together and the close knit atmosphere they bring is only one of the many assets for team. SJ Militia is coming off a 2011 campaign that saw them win 5 tournament titles, including the Softball Nation Silver States for the 2nd consecutive year. With quality wins over the Post, Santino's Bistro, Dillon Steel and CMF throughout year this young team has built up some confidence going into 2012. With some key pick-ups in Augie Guarnmere (P) and Jimmy Gabrielli (MI), formerly of Bryson's, this SJ Militia team is confident and enthusiastic about challenging the best the D class has to offer.
Jimmy Gabrielle
With a young and fast outfield in Kyle Fanelli, Marty Melony, and Mike Morris the SJ Militia team will have three of the most talented players around. They have solid sticks, speed and will put a lot of pressure on all opponents defenses. In the IF there will be Butch Amato (3b), an up and coming average and power hitter. His stability on the corner with be much needed. New addition, Jimmy Gabrielle (MI), will improve the quickness in this IF and the ability to turn many double plays will be evident. Tom Delgozzo and Zach Jaku, flip flopping (ss) and (2b), also add to the quickness and the solid glove work of this talented Infield. In the other corner spot (1b), will be either Jason "Stixz" Seeberger or Andrew "Mongo" Noe. Seeberger played with Brysons Pub and will be the coach of this young roster. He will bring experience and leadership to this SJ Militia squad. Mongo, at 6'7" is a force at that plate. Possibly one of the harder hitters in the area, Mongo's consistent bat will need to lead SJ Militia if they have hopes to battle the other quality D teams. Mongo will also be helping out Seeberger as the asst coach. Doing the pitching for this competitive team will be newly signed Augie Guarnmere. Guarnmere has played both C and D ball in the past, he will be a quality #1 for this team and everybody knows a team starts with the pitcher. Rounding out the roster for this SJ Militia team will be Dean Tokelish, Bobby Chiarulli, Matt Roldan, Mike Chappel and Matt Frankowski.
SJ Militia Team
SJ Militia / Exit 3 is coming into a season where they picked up some quality players and they are looking to make some noise. The only way to make some noise is to challenge yourself against the areas best. With a solid core of young players that will put pressure on defenses offensively, this SJ Militia team will not be a walkover by any means. Helping with the finances for SJ Militia will be Cavalry Poultry Provisions and Guiseppi's Bar and Grill. Best of luck to Coach's Seeberger and Noe and the rest of the SJ Militia team. We certainly look forward to seeing what kind of noise you can make this 2012 season. SJ Militia will be opening up in a fundraiser then challenging themselves a little more in the spring thaw.
Camaraderie at its best!
